Obasan Warranty & Product Coverage Guide

At Obasan, we take great care in crafting our organic mattresses and bedding using high-quality natural materials. Each product is designed for long-term comfort, durability, and performance.

If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect, our team is here to help.

If a defect covered under warranty is identified during the applicable warranty period, Obasan will, at its discretion, repair or replace the item within a reasonable timeframe.


General Warranty Information

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase may be required if warranty registration has not been completed.

Obasan reserves the right to refuse service or void this warranty if, upon inspection, a product is found to be:

  • Unsanitary

  • Improperly maintained

  • Damaged due to causes unrelated to materials or workmanship

Failure to follow proper care and maintenance guidelines may void your warranty. Please refer to our care instructions for full details.

This warranty:

  • Does not guarantee suitability for any specific medical condition

  • Applies only to defects in materials or workmanship

  • Does not cover transportation or shipping costs

Mattress Warranty

Adult Custom Mattresses: Classic, Deluxe, Grand

 

Warranty Terms

  • First 10 years: Non-prorated

  • Years 11–20: Prorated

Proper support and maintenance are required to maintain warranty coverage.

 

What’s Covered

  • Stitches pulled from quilting

  • Body impressions of 1.5 inches or greater

  • Excessively lumpy or uneven feel

  • Sagging (with proper foundation support)

 

What’s Not Covered

  • Stains, burns, mold, or mildew

  • Damage from moving or transportation

  • Shipping or transportation costs

  • Comfort preference or feel

  • Sheet fit issues

  • Misuse or abuse

  • Improper or insufficient bed frame support

  • Normal settling of quilt fibers

  • Natural odours from organic materials

  • Allergies or sensitivities

  • Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect performance

  • Any condition not explicitly listed

Non-Custom Mattresses: Essential, Kids, Crib

  • 10-year limited warranty

  • Non-prorated

Foundation Warranty: Standard & Designer

Warranty Terms

  • First 10 years: Non-prorated

  • Years 11–20: Prorated

Proper installation and care are required.

  • Loose or broken slats

What’s Not Covered

  • Damage from misuse or improper setup

Mattress Topper Warranty

Warranty Terms

  • 3-year limited warranty

Mattress toppers naturally conform to your body and mattress. Some impressions are expected and considered normal.

Monthly rotation is strongly recommended to promote even wear.

  • Stains, burns, or moisture damage

  • Fabric pilling due to washing

  • Damage from improper washing or drying
